Limes Apartments is situated on the High Street (B2028), Lindfield, West Sussex. If you are heading (North) up the High Street, we are on the left hand side, opposite the Red Lion pub. There are three free public car parks within a short stroll.
It is a 10 minute car drive from nearby town, Haywards Heath, which has a mainline railway station, with direct connections to the South Coast and London regularly (click here for train timetables). Limes Apartments is 17 miles from Gatwick, and 16 miles from Brighton.
Parking
Parking on the High Street is free for up to two hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Saturday and unrestricted thereafter. There are also three public car parks close by, all offering up to four hours free daytime parking and unrestricted evening / Sunday parking.
Tollgate Car Park is accessible via Compton Road. There is a walkway directly from this car park onto the High Street so this is the closest car park to Limes.
Denman's Lane Car Park is just off Denman's Lane and just two minutes walk from Limes Restaurant.
The Wilderness Car Park is a little further away but still easy walking distance.
Lindfield
While you are staying with us, we suggest you spare some time to look around our beautiful village of Lindfield, known for its idyllic beauty and immaculate preservation, including the 16th century bakery building (next door to Limes Apartments), King Henry VII’s hunting lodge and the parish church which dates back to 1098. Lindfield previously won the Best Kept Village award so many years in a row they were asked to stop entering!
Our apartments are located amongst the independent shops, pubs and restaurants of Lindfield’s High Street.

We are situated in a beautiful part of the country with lots to see and do while you are staying with us. Here are just a few of the many possibilities
Visit Brighton.
Brighton and the South coast is just 15 minutes away by train from Haywards Heath station. During the day, take a stroll along the iconic promenade or meander through the twisting alleyways and discover the boutique shops of the Lanes. At night, Brighton comes alive, buzzing with restaurants, pubs and clubs.
Explore a Garden.
There are many beautiful gardens and National Trust properties in the area. Wakehurst botanic gardens, home of the Millennium Seed Bank, is just five miles from us and Sheffield Park, with gardens originally designed by Capability Brown, is seven miles away. Slightly further afield at 20 miles away is Hever Castle, Tudor home to the Boleyn family.
Go Cycling
The South Downs National Park is just a few miles from us and has something for every kind of cyclist to enjoy and explore.
As well as the famous South Downs Way to explore there are 1,200 km of car-free bridleways across the National Park, miles of leafy country lanes and old railway trails including the Downs Link, Meon Valley Trail and Centurion Way.
The 160km long South Downs Way is the only UK’s National Trail which is fully traversable by bike and there are many ways to enjoy it.
Ride on a Steam Train.
The Bluebell Railway commenced train services in August 1960 and now runs steam trains between Sheffield Park and East Grinstead, stopping at Horsted Keynes and Kingscote. Purchase an All Day Rover ticket and hop on and off as much as you like throughout the day!
South of England Showground
The South of England Showground, where many shows, concerts and events are held throughout the year, is just four miles from our apartments. Highlight of the year is the famous South of England show which is held over first or second weekend in June.
